A newer bonus being offered among organizations is a referral bonus. If you work for a company and find that there is a job opening available, you can recommend a friend for the opening. If that friend turns out to be a good fit and is hired, you will recieve a certain bonus for the referral. Companies like to do this because they can easily find new hires that come with a recommendation. They can then trust their new hires more because they have a referral.

This allows for you to save for retirement with an early start and the help of your employer. One of the best retirement packages out there is when a company does an employer match for a 401(K).
