The SCOAN (Synagogue Church of All Nations) is becoming increasingly popular, not in the least due the prophesizing sermons of TB Joshua, but also because of his healing powers. As a result, people from all over the world try to visit the SCOAN. Doing so, however, requires some careful planning and preparation. Below are some details on how to make sure you will not encounter any problems during your visit.
Contacting SCOAN
First of all, you must understand that thousands of people want to visit SCOAN and be touched by the Prophet. Because of this, there has to be a limitation on who can come and when. While you wait, however, the Prophet is keen to get to know people and what they require help with. As such, you need to complete the SCOAN online application, which will also ask questions about your overall state of health. You will receive confirmation of your application, and SCOAN will regularly contact you to inform you of the process.
Get Ready to Go to Nigeria
Once you have received confirmation that you can visit SCOAN, you need to prepare yourself for the bureaucracy of this visit. A key factor is that you will need a passport, which you can apply for in your country. You will also require a visa to be allowed to enter Nigeria. If you are in the USA, you can obtain this through the Nigeria Immigration Service. Once that has been completed, you will be ready to actually book your flight. You do not, however, have to arrange your own accommodation during your visit to SCOAN, unless specifically asked to do so. Rather, you will be able to remain within the SCOAN complex, although you do have to arrange this with your contact within.
Planning the Visit Itself
This starts by knowing how long you will stay with SCOAN. Usually, people opt for either one week or one day. You will have to bring sufficient clothing for either. If you intend to stay in Nigeria longer, you must also make accommodation arrangements outside of SCOAN. When packing, remember that the climate in Nigeria is hot and humid, so make sure you dress accordingly. Do also bring money, preferably in local currency, although the SCOAN shop also accepts USD, GBP, and EUR.
This is all you need to know about planning a visit to SCOAN. It is important, however, that you start by arranging your visit with the church itself, rather than making travel arrangements first and hoping there will be an opportunity for you to visit. The church, and TB Joshua in particular, is incredibly busy and there simply isn’t room to hold as many people as what would like to be there. That said, you never have to miss a sermon from the Prophet, since all are broadcasted on Emmanuel TV, a channel that is available from almost anywhere in the world. Watching these recordings will also give you the opportunity to prepare for your visit.
